MacOS – default write/read/delete command

In Mac, we can use default write to set the system preference settings.

Here are the examples we used while setting jenkins:

set a property:
sudo default write /Library/Preferences/org.jenkins-ci.plist httpPort 8888

delete a property:
sudo default delete /Library/Preferences/org.jenkins-ci.plist httpPort

read properties:
sudo default read /Library/Preferences/org.jenkins-ci.plist
